    Proposed DOL Overtime Pay Regulations:  Big Changes Ahead!

    The Federal DOL proposed changes to the overtime regulations under the FLSA have been officially released.  The new regulations will more than double the salary threshold for exemption from overtime. The salary threshold for highly compensated employees will also increase dramatically and we expect some changes to the “white collar” and highly compensated exemptions.

    The DOL estimates that more than 5 million workers will be affected and the cost to business will be more than $1.3 billion.

    About Our Presenter

    Greg Chartier is a Human Resources consultant, educator and speaker and author of What Law Did You Break Today, a practical guide to federal HR law.  Greg holds a BA from The Citadel, and MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Doctorate from Madison University. Greg is certified as a Senior professional in Human Resources and as a Global Professional in Human Resources.  He is a board member of the Business Council of Westchester, a national member of SHRM and the Treasurer of the Westchester Human Resource Management Association.  Greg also teaches at pace university in the Human Resource Program.
