Structuring Successful Internship Programs While Complying with Federal Internship Guidelines

Do you have an internship program or thinking about creating one?

The legal environment for internships has become more complex for both employers and university career services organizations. Learn from an expert panel how to structure a successful internship program and ensure your program is in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Employers utilize internships to develop the talent they need for their entry level positions. Internships and experiential learning has become an integral part of the curriculum of many academic institutions. Students expect to experience quality internships before they graduate.  So how do you know if you're doing it correctly?

Employers are challenged to structure internships that meet academic standards and are within the parameters defined by law.

Career Centers are challenged to ensure that employers provide a productive learning experience for their students regardless if it is paid or unpaid.

This panel will feature speakers from the following organizations, who will share their knowledge and expertise about structuring an effective internship program:

    Panel of Speakers
    • Laura Citrone, Schott North America, Human Resources
    • Michael Hekle, Partner, Jackson Lewis
