CODE OF ETHICS
As a member of the Westchester Human Resource Management Association (WHRMA), I recognize the primary aim of the organization is to further the professionalism and knowledge of its membership.

In keeping with this aim, I understand and agree:

I will not solicit or initiate business from any member either at meetings or through the use of information provided to me as a member of WHRMA.

I will assist in the networking of chapter members by sharing general knowledge in areas of my expertise to advance the knowledge of all members.

If provided the opportunity to make a presentation to the general membership, this presentation is to be viewed as an opportunity to educate and inform members and not as an opportunity to solicit business. However, any materials I distribute in conjunction with such a presentation may contain information concerning my business interests.

Members are accepted under the following categories:

A. Professional Members

Individuals engaged in Human Resource Management with at least three years of experience at the exempt level; or any individual certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or any faculty member with three or more years experience holding assistant or full professional rank in Human Resources; or a full-time consultant who is not primarily involved in recruiting. Professional members have voting rights and may hold office on the Board of Directors.

B. General Members

Individuals engaged in Human Resource Management at the exempt level but who do not meet the requirements of Professional Membership. General Members have voting rights and may not hold office on the Board of Directors.

C. Honorary Members

Individuals who demonstrate a bonafide interest in Human Resource Management and the objectives of the chapter, upon the sponsorship of a Director with the concurrence of the Board of Directors, may be granted Honorary Membership status subject to annual review by the Board of Directors. This status is reserved for long standing friends of the chapter or retired WHRMA members.
