We are currently seeking a Training & Organizational Development Manager to join our team in our Purchase, New York headquarters. Responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing and delivering training to all employees through a variety of media. Topics may include but are not limited to all facets of new hire training, products, systems, procedures, policies, industry regulations, compliance, management development and soft skills.
- Providing expertise in the areas of learning needs assessment, learning/competency alignment, design, delivery and evaluation to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Compiling data and analyzing past and current year training requirements to help with budget preparation and training priorities.
- Assessing and monitoring the effectiveness of all learning and development initiatives against predefined metrics.
- Managing learning projects on time and within budget.
- Partnering with strategic leaders in business units and or functions to determine job specific training needs.
- Acting as Lead Consultant to external clients on projects related to training and organizational development.
- Assisting in providing templates, standards, models and custom materials to ensure business unit and or functional training needs are met and are aligned to overall strategic direction of company.
- Working with HR in the development of core competencies for use by the whole organization
- Conducting training needs assessments across all departments to help plan training strategy and create training programs to fit the needs of the Credit Union.
- Researching other external avenues and training programs and/or self-study materials to support Credit Union needs.
- Managing Organizational Development (OD) strategies and processes; leading the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet OD needs and Credit Union’s goals.
- Documenting departmental workflow processes and procedures.
- Participating project plan committees for training initiatives with introduction of new products and services as needed.
- Overseeing development and updating of training manuals and handouts with regular review of session content.
- Assisting with coaching, mentoring, supervising, motivating and cross training within the department.
· Performing additional duties as required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, training and development, organizational development, or a related field required. Candidate should have 5 to 7 years experience in a similar role.
· Willingness to travel up to 30%; some overnight travel required
· Candidates should have exceptional platform, facilitation, and course design skills
· Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
· Expert consulting skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels internally and externally
· Highly creative, innovative and self-motivated to take initiative to find solutions
· Strong analytical capabilities
· Demonstrated time and project management experience required
· Skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities and deliverables
· Technically savvy - proficiency required in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office
