For Renewing Members in Transition:

In conjunction with SHRM’s Transitioning Membership program, Westchester Human Resource Management Association(WHRMA) provides active members who are unemployed at the time of the membership renewal a one-time opportunity to extend their membership for up to one WHRMA membership year (May 1 through April 30th)—at no cost!  We want to support our active members during their transition period and allow them to stay current on the issues impacting the HR profession as well as provide them with the needed resources to assist them in their job search.

Any active WHRMA member who is unemployed at the time WHRMA’s membership renewal  date of May 1st or becomes unemployed prior to paying the current membership year dues qualifies for a transition membership.  Payment of dues will only be waived until the next membership renewal period.  For example , if you notify WHRMA on July 21st, your transition membership will be activated through April 30th of the following year.  The member must be unemployed at the time he or she applies for a transitioning membership. No refunds will be given for renewals already paid and processed.

Before activating a transitioning membership, the requestor must communicate his or her unemployment status to the WHRMA Membership Chairperson via e-mail, fax or mail.
